After analysing my music videos I have recognised the main theme and style of the bands were 'Vintage streetwear' - Brands like Tommy Hilfiger - Adidas - Fila and Patagonia. The colours may vary from very muted tones of blacks and neutral combinations. On the other hand it is very common for colours to fluctuate and stand out in order to convey the said artists to stand out show a sense of individuality.
I feel like it it crucial we match conventions when it comes to the costume aspect of the music video as the 'Indie/Rock' genre contradicts conventions so much it almost creates sub-conventions traditional for an Indie video. The idea of specific quirks and small details such as cropped trousers and tucked in tops will be essential into creating something which is authentic for the viewer.
We will also be using accessories like:
- Rings
- Bracelets
- Necklaces
- Fishnets
Also, we would like each member of the band to have their own individual style with each member having an individual quirk or memorable aspect to their outfit and style.
